From an encouraging intake of 600 students, RMIT University has grown to a global university of more than 63,000 students, including 21,000 international students drawn from more than 100 countries—an institution recognised internationally for the quality of its graduates and the excellence of its research.

 

As a dual-sector institution, RMIT is able to offer programs from certificate and diploma level through to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD. More than 470 programs are available, ranging from traditional areas of study to specialised and niche programs.

 

Location

RMIT has three campuses in Melbourne. All campuses are vibrant urban centres, or cities within cities, renowned for their iconic design and technology.

 

RMIT’s main campus is located in the centre of Melbourne’s Central Business District (CBD), offering students easy access to the best that this modern, multicultural city has to offer. The outer city campuses of Bundoora and Brunswick are purpose built to offer students the opportunity to learn in an environment that is streamlined to meet their needs. RMIT’s Brunswick campus is home to the renowned School of Fashion and Textiles, one of Australia’s most dynamic and vibrant learning centres. RMIT’s Bundoora campus houses schools within the Science, Engineering and Technology Portfolio.

Fees and Intake Information

RMIT’s course fees for 2007 range from A$12,000–A$23,000 per annum.* The Study Abroad program costs A$8,000 per semester. RMIT offers two intakes per annum (February and July).**

Study Abroad

The RMIT Study Abroad program gives students the opportunity to experience an exciting and unique overseas study adventure. Due to RMIT’s convenient central city location, students have easy access to Melbourne’s many cafés, bars, restaurants and theatres.

 

RMIT’s extensive course offerings allow students to design their own program from across a large number of subjects and specialisations. No matter what the student’s academic background, RMIT will most certainly have a Study Abroad program that will suit their individual needs.

 

The team of dedicated staff at the Education Abroad Unit (EAU) can assist students when they arrive in Melbourne. Apart from offering an ongoing first point of contact for all Study Abroad students, the EAU can put students in touch with clubs, social events and other international students.
